Norwegian progressive metal band Rendezvous Point has shared their latest single, “Utopia,” marking the third release from their upcoming album *Dream Chaser*. The track, which comes with a visually engaging video, follows their previous singles “Don’t Look Up” and “Oslo Syndrome,” continuing to build anticipation for the album’s release.
Scheduled for June 21st via Long Branch Records, *Dream Chaser* promises to push the boundaries of progressive metal with its innovative approach to songwriting. The album builds on the momentum of their critically acclaimed *Universal Chaos*, emphasizing groove, powerful riffs, and memorable melodies. The band, featuring Leprous drummer Baard Kolstad, keyboardist Nicolay Tangen Svennæs, vocalist Geirmund Hansen, guitarist Petter Hallaråker, and bassist Gunn-Hilde Erstad, is set to deliver a refined yet expansive sound.
Singer Geirmund Hansen describes “Utopia” as a reflection on the journey from youthful idealism to the challenge of finding one’s own path. He explains that the song represents the transition from relying on ideals found in close family relationships to navigating a personal journey that can sometimes feel like being caught between two contrasting worlds.
