After years of silence, Rorschach Test has made a powerful return in 2024 with their new single, “Fallen,” the title track from their upcoming album. Set to release on October 31, 2024, via Unlabeled Artists, the album carries a profound message for those struggling with mental health disorders, substance use, and suicidal thoughts. Frontman James Baker emphasizes that “it’s never too late to come back from the darkest places,” offering hope to those who need it most.
Rorschach Test’s comeback features a refreshed lineup, including the addition of Kolby Peoples and the lyrical contributions of The Narcoleptic Goddess, also known as Christine Baker, James’ wife. The band’s signature Gothic Industrial Metal sound remains intact, now infused with new energy and a mission to empower underserved communities through their art, as reflected in their work with the non-profit label Unlabeled Artists.
The album was produced with a blend of analog and vintage equipment, capturing the raw human touch that defines Rorschach Test’s music. Co-produced by Kolby Peoples and recorded by Mike Bolenbach, known for his work on Alice Cooper’s *Welcome To My Nightmare*, the album explores dark and difficult themes, using the heavy tones of metal to confront life’s shadows and inspire liberation from them.
